Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Lumecto mobile application, website, and related services.
When Lumecto presents an acceptance checkbox or equivalent confirmation, you actively agree to these Terms by selecting that confirmation and creating or continuing your account. If you use a part of Lumecto that does not require an account, your use of that part remains subject to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Lumecto is operated by Muhammed Ali GÜR. Business or contact address: Gazi Dükkan Mah. 152. Sokak Karaman/Türkiye.
About Lumecto
Lumecto is a personal movie and series tracking service. It helps users search for titles, manage a personal library, track viewing progress, maintain custom lists, view streaming-provider information, set reminders where available, use supported widgets, and return to content they were watching.
Lumecto does not host, stream, sell, rent, or provide direct access to movies or television series. Availability, playback, pricing, account requirements, and access to content are controlled by the relevant streaming provider or third-party service.
Eligibility and minors
You must be at least 13 years old to use Lumecto. If the law applicable to you requires a higher minimum age, parental or guardian permission, or another form of legal authorization for a digital service or contract, that higher requirement applies.
If you are not legally able to enter into these Terms on your own, you may use Lumecto only with the involvement and authorization of a parent, guardian, or other person legally permitted to act for you, where required by applicable law.
Purchases and subscriptions may also be subject to age, family-account, payment-account, and authorization rules imposed by Apple, Google, or the applicable payment platform.
Your account
Some or all Lumecto features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you have notified us that the account has been compromised. You must not share your password or attempt to access another user's account.
Lumecto may use an internal account identifier to connect your library, subscriptions, entitlements, and other account-backed features across sessions and supported devices, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptance records
Where Lumecto requires active acceptance of these Terms, we may record the Terms version accepted, the date and time of acceptance, the associated Lumecto account, we may record the Terms version accepted, the date and time of acceptance, the associated Lumecto account, and the language or locale in which the Terms were presented where applicable.
We do not require an IP-address or device-fingerprint record solely for the purpose of accepting these Terms unless a future legal or security requirement makes such processing necessary and the applicable privacy information is updated accordingly.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Lumecto for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data without authorization.
- Interfere with Lumecto's operation, security, infrastructure, advertisements, subscriptions, authentication, or entitlement systems.
- Reverse engineer, bypass, manipulate, or exploit paid-feature, entitlement, advertising, or access controls except where permitted by applicable law.
- Use automated tools to overload, scrape, copy, or disrupt Lumecto or its supporting services in a manner not authorized by us or by law.
- Upload, name, or create custom-list content that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
Your library and custom lists
You remain responsible for custom list names and other content you create inside Lumecto. You grant Lumecto a limited permission to store, process, synchronize, and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate the service and provide the features you request.
Lumecto may remove content or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, legal obligations, infringement claims, or serious violations of these Terms.
Lumecto intellectual property and license
Lumecto's software, original interface elements, original graphics, branding, logos, service design, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to the Lumecto operator, except for third-party materials identified or described separately.
Subject to these Terms and applicable store terms, Lumecto grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application and service for your own lawful, non-commercial use. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
Distribution through Apple App Store is also subject to the applicable Apple terms and Apple's standard end-user license agreement unless a valid custom license agreement applies. Distribution through Google Play is also subject to the applicable Google Play terms.
Third-party content and metadata
Lumecto may display movie and series titles, descriptions, images, genres, release information, streaming-provider availability, and other metadata obtained from third-party services, including services such as TMDB where applicable.
Lumecto does not claim ownership of third-party metadata, trademarks, posters, provider logos, or media assets. All related rights remain with their respective owners.
Third-party metadata may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Streaming availability may differ by region, provider, subscription plan, device, and time.
Nothing in these Terms itself grants Lumecto rights to third-party content. Lumecto's use of third-party materials remains subject to the applicable licenses, permissions, platform terms, and law.
External services and links
Lumecto may provide links or actions that open third-party applications, websites, stores, or streaming services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, privacy policies, subscriptions, account requirements, and availability.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lumecto is not responsible for third-party services, their content, outages, pricing, account requirements, or independent business practices.
Free service and advertisements
Lumecto's Free plan may display advertisements provided through Google AdMob or other advertising services identified in Lumecto's privacy disclosures.
Advertisement availability is not guaranteed. Advertisements may be selected, limited, or disabled according to your region, device settings, privacy choices, consent status where applicable, and applicable law.
Plus and Premium subscriptions
Lumecto offers optional Plus and Premium subscriptions. Available plans, prices, billing periods, trial or introductory terms where applicable, renewal information, and included benefits are shown inside the app before purchase.
On Android, eligible subscription purchases are processed through Google Play. On iOS and iPadOS, eligible subscription purchases are processed through Apple App Store. Lumecto uses RevenueCat to help validate purchases, manage subscription entitlements, and restore access to the appropriate Lumecto account.
RevenueCat is not the consumer-facing payment-card processor for these store purchases. Lumecto does not receive or store your complete payment-card details from Apple or Google.
Billing, renewal, and cancellation
Store subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled, according to the price, billing period, renewal terms, and other information shown by Apple App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase.
You can manage or cancel a subscription through the store account used to make the purchase and through any subscription-management method made available inside Lumecto where required by the applicable platform.
Deleting the Lumecto app or deleting your Lumecto account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You should cancel the subscription separately through the applicable store if you do not want it to renew.
Cancelling normally prevents the next renewal. Access to paid features may continue until the end of the current paid period, subject to the applicable store rules, consumer law, and the entitlement status reported to Lumecto.
Purchase restoration and account identity
Lumecto may provide a Restore Purchases option. Restoration depends on the applicable Apple or Google store account, purchase status, Lumecto account identity, RevenueCat entitlement state, and information returned by the relevant store.
You should use the correct Lumecto account when purchasing or restoring a subscription. Subscription access may not appear on another Lumecto account unless the purchase and entitlement can lawfully and technically be associated with that account.
Refunds and mandatory consumer rights
Payments, refund procedures, and store-level refund eligibility are generally administered by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where the purchase was made. Lumecto cannot guarantee that a request submitted to a store will be approved.
Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, withdrawal, conformity, statutory warranty, price-reduction, termination, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where a refund or other remedy is legally required outside the normal store process, the applicable mandatory consumer law will prevail.
Pre-purchase subscription information
Acceptance of these Terms does not replace the information and consent required at the time of a subscription purchase. Before you confirm a paid subscription, the applicable purchase flow will present the material commercial terms required by the platform and applicable law, including the plan, price, billing period, automatic-renewal information, and any trial or introductory conditions that apply.
Changes to plans and features
Lumecto may add, modify, limit, replace, or discontinue features for legitimate product, technical, security, legal, platform, or sustainability reasons.
We will not use this clause to remove or reduce mandatory consumer rights. Where a material change adversely affects a paid digital service during an active paid period, Lumecto will respect any notice, remedy, termination, refund, or other rights required by applicable law.
Notifications
Lumecto may provide optional reminders and viewing-related notifications. Notification delivery depends on your device settings, operating system, permissions, and technical availability.
You can manage available notification settings inside Lumecto or through your device settings.
Availability and service changes
We aim to keep Lumecto reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability.
Lumecto may experience maintenance, network failures, provider outages, metadata errors, advertising unavailability, billing delays, or other technical interruptions.
We may suspend or change part of the service where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, platform requirements, abuse prevention, or product development, subject to rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Account suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe an account is involved in fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, security threats, serious violations of these Terms, infringement, or unlawful use.
Where appropriate and legally required, we will take proportional measures and preserve any applicable consumer or appeal rights.
You may stop using Lumecto at any time and may delete your account from inside the app through Profile → Delete account. More information is available on the Delete account page.
Account deletion and store-subscription cancellation are separate actions. Deleting your Lumecto account does not itself cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.
Privacy
Lumecto's collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information is described separately in the Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy is a notice about personal-data practices. Acceptance of these Terms should not be interpreted as blanket consent to every form of personal-data processing. Where applicable law requires separate consent for a particular activity, Lumecto will request that consent separately.
Disclaimers
Lumecto is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not guarantee the accuracy or continuous availability of third-party metadata, streaming-provider information, advertisements, subscription-platform responses, reminders, external links, or third-party services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights, guarantees, remedies, or protections that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lumecto and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of or inability to use Lumecto, third-party services, external content, or linked platforms.
This limitation does not apply to the extent liability cannot legally be limited or excluded, including any liability or consumer remedy that is mandatory under applicable law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when Lumecto's features, subscriptions, advertisements, service providers, platform requirements, business arrangements, or legal obligations change.
The version number and updated date at the top of this page identify the current revision. We may keep archived versions where reasonably needed to document the Terms previously accepted by account holders.
For material changes, Lumecto may provide additional notice and, where appropriate or legally required, request active acceptance of a new Terms version before continued account use. Minor editorial, clarification, or non-material changes do not necessarily require a new acceptance.
Changes will not retroactively remove rights that had already accrued or override mandatory consumer protections.
Governing law and disputes
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections that apply under the law of the consumer's habitual residence or another law that cannot be contractually waived.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from using a legally competent Consumer Arbitration Committee, Consumer Court, regulator, alternative dispute-resolution mechanism, or other mandatory forum available under applicable law.
