Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Lumecto collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Lumecto mobile application, website, and related services.
Information we collect
Account information
- Your email address and username.
- Internal user identifiers used to connect your account with Lumecto services.
- Authentication and security data, including password hashes, refresh tokens, active sessions, and password-reset records.
Lumecto does not store your password in plaintext.
Library and user-created content
- Movies and series saved to your library.
- Watch status, viewing progress, and selected streaming platforms.
- Your Continue Watching selection.
- Custom list names and the titles added to those lists.
- Reminder and notification preferences.
Search and app activity
- Search queries processed to return movie and series results.
- Recent search history that may be stored locally on your device.
- App interactions, such as screens or features used, where collected by integrated services for functionality, advertising, analytics, security, or fraud prevention.
Subscription and purchase information
When you purchase or restore a Plus or Premium subscription, Google Play and RevenueCat process information such as the purchased product, subscription status, purchase history, transaction status, entitlement, renewal, expiration, and restoration information.
Lumecto uses an internal account identifier as the RevenueCat App User ID so that subscription access can be connected to the correct Lumecto account. Lumecto does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Advertising, device, and technical information
Free users may be shown advertisements provided through Google AdMob. Depending on your device, region, privacy choices, and Google settings, advertising services may process:
- Advertising identifiers and other device identifiers.
- Approximate location derived from information such as IP address.
- App interactions and ad impressions.
- Device, operating-system, and application information.
- Diagnostics, performance, security, and fraud-prevention data.
Plus and Premium users do not receive banner advertisements inside Lumecto, although subscription and account services may still process information required to verify their access.
Crash reporting and technical diagnostics
Lumecto uses Sentry to identify application crashes and a limited set of unexpected technical errors so that we can maintain the reliability and security of the app.
When a diagnostic event is generated, Sentry may process limited technical information such as the Lumecto app version and build number, operating-system version, device model, event time, stack trace, release and environment information, and other technical context required to diagnose the problem.
Lumecto configures Sentry not to receive account identifiers, email addresses, usernames, passwords, authentication or password-reset tokens, search queries, movie or series identifiers, library or custom-list content, screenshots, view hierarchy data, session replays, Sentry Logs, performance traces, or profiling data.
IP-address storage is disabled. User information and installation-level identifiers are removed before or during event processing. Sentry data is used only for app functionality, reliability, security, and technical error diagnosis.
Lumecto's Sentry organization uses the European Union data region. Diagnostic events may be retained for a limited period according to Lumecto's Sentry configuration and service plan.
Advertising consent and privacy choices
Lumecto uses Google User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising consent where required, including supported European regions. Depending on your region, you may be asked to consent to personalized advertising, reject consent, or manage individual privacy options.
Where required, you can reopen your available privacy choices from Lumecto's Profile or About section. Refusing personalized advertising does not prevent access to Lumecto's core tracking features, although limited or non-personalized advertising may still be shown where allowed.

Lumecto does not sell your account, library, watch-progress, or custom-list data.
Data retention
Account and synced library data is generally retained while your Lumecto account remains active. Security records, transaction-related records, logs, and backups may be retained for a limited period where required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, security, or reliable operation. Crash and diagnostic events processed through Sentry may be retained for a limited period according to Lumecto's configured retention settings and service plan.
Local notification settings and recent search history stored on your device may remain until you clear application data or uninstall Lumecto.
Account and data deletion
You can delete your Lumecto account from inside the app through Profile → Delete account. Account deletion removes your account and associated synced data, including your library and custom lists, subject to limited retention for backups, security, legal, or operational purposes.
Details are available on the Delete account page.
Deleting your Lumecto account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must also be managed or cancelled through your Google Play account.
Data security
Lumecto uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections, password hashing, authentication controls, and access restrictions. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration of information.
Children
Lumecto is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information from children under 13.
International processing
Lumecto and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, applicable safeguards and privacy requirements are used for such processing.
